feltwilde is a full time studio practice run by fibre artist, Gill Brooks, specialising in the ancient art/craft of felt-making.  Gill designs and hand makes all her pieces, using primarily Australian merino wool and other natural yarns and fibres. Gill also incoporates fabric off-cuts and remnants from the fashion industry and second hand textiles and yarns from local thrift stores. Resourcing, re-modelling, re-using and over-dyeing means many textiles get a second life and wastage from one product can be incorporated into another, leaving virtually no waste.
